What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager - PNW position at Rainier Asphalt & Concrete?
About The Company
Founded in 2000, Rainier Asphalt & Concrete is a leading pavement contractor in the Puget Sound region. We provide various services, including: hot mix asphalt patching and paving, asphalt sealcoating, striping, curbing, concrete flat work, crack filling, drainage and traffic control. We employ approximately 75 people and have offices in North Bend, Tacoma and Snohomish. The company is operational and busy year-round, and is much less seasonal than many competitors in this industry.
Position Overview
The Account Manager position is what is commonly known as an Estimator in our industry. However, we break apart the traditional roles of this position into two separate job functions. The Account Manager meets customers in the field, gathers measurements and specifications, builds and infiltrates relationships and focuses on selling work. There is a counterpart position of Inside Estimator who works with the Account Manager to prepare the quote, including the prices and various documents to send to the customer. These two must work well as a team to achieve our common goals. This role specifically will be tasked with growing our business in North King county, and Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties. It is recommended that the applicant live in this geographical area.
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Manager to join our team in the asphalt and concrete construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets.
