Pediatric Occupational Therapist (Nature-Based Practice)Join the Rainbow Tree Therapies Team
Are you passionate about helping children thrive through connection, play, movement, and nature?
Rainbow Tree Therapies is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing nature-based practice. This unique opportunity combines evidence-informed occupational therapy with the healing power of nature to support children and families in meaningful, authentic ways.
At Rainbow Tree Therapies, we believe every child has unique strengths and gifts. Our role is not to "fix" children, but to create supportive environments where they can develop confidence, resilience, connection, and the skills needed to participate fully in the occupations that matter most to them.
Our therapists work primarily outdoors, utilizing forests, fields, gardens, animals, playgrounds, and natural environments as therapeutic spaces that foster self-regulation, sensory integration, social participation, motor development, executive functioning, and overall well-being.
We are looking for a therapist who is creative, flexible, compassionate, and excited to think beyond the walls of a traditional clinic.
What You'll Do
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and intervention services for children and adolescents in outdoor and nature-based settings.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that support participation in meaningful daily activities and routines.
- Utilize nature, movement, play, creativity, and relationship-based approaches as therapeutic tools.
- Support children with self-regulation, sensory processing, executive functioning, emotional wellness, motor development, social participation, and independence.
- Facilitate individual therapy sessions, small groups, and therapeutic nature camps.
- Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support each child's success across environments.
- Provide parent coaching, education, and practical strategies that can be implemented at home and in the community.
- Complete documentation and progress reporting in a timely manner.
- Participate in team collaboration, professional learning opportunities, and program development initiatives.
- Contribute creativity and ideas to help expand innovative nature-based services and programs.
