We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Aid to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in administering medications, providing personal care, and supporting residents’ overall well-being within a senior living or healthcare facility. Duties

  • Assist licensed nurses and healthcare professionals in medication administration following strict protocols and state regulations
  • Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, mobility support, and hygiene maintenance for residents or patients
  • Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure patient stability
  • Document all medication administration and patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold privacy standards at all times
  • Assist with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or transferring residents safely while adhering to proper body mechanics and safety procedures
  • Respond promptly to emergencies by performing First Aid or CPR when necessary and notifying appropriate medical personnel
  • Support hospice and home care services by providing compassionate assistance aligned with individual care plans and family expectations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or senior care environments is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic nursing practices required for effective caregiving
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is essential; additional certifications such as EHR system training (Epic, Cerner) are advantageous
  • Familiarity with medical documentation standards and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involving physical strength when assisting residents or patients
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus
  • Strong communication skills for caregiver interactions with residents, families, and healthcare team members
  • Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
