Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be to support clients in achieving their goals through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to develop care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Provide support in social skills development and community integration.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy sessions.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills in behavioral health.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in applied behavior analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to patient care.
- Ability to collect and analyze data effectively for tracking client progress.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Compassionate approach to working with children and families, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
