Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development for infants and toddlers
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to early learning
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Engage children with age-appropriate play, educational activities, and developmental exercises that encourage curiosity and exploration
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and milestones to inform teaching strategies
- Follow all health and safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices that meet individual needs of children with disabilities or special requirements
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or caregiving roles is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification or training in first aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
- Strong classroom management skills paired with the ability to handle behavior management effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage with children’s families
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a nurturing learning environment
