Job Overview
As a Daycare Teacher, you will help children explore, discover, and understand the world around them. We are seeking multiple experienced and enthusiastic educators to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
Our teachers bring warmth, patience, and understanding into the classroom daily and build meaningful relationships with children and families that support the success of the whole child.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall supervision and daily classroom management for a group of children
- Plan and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the academy’s curriculum
- Assess each child’s developmental needs on an ongoing basis
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
- Foster positive behavior through clear expectations and verbal encouragement
- Communicate effectively with families and leadership staff
- Lead and support assistant teachers in the classroom
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and school events
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director or designee
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Must meet Texas Child Care Licensing requirements
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed childcare or early education setting
- Infant–Preschool: Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Pre-K: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required
- Kindergarten: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and state certification required
- Minimum 2 years of childcare experience if no degree
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices
Certifications
- CPR Certification (Infant, Child, Breathing & Choking) or willingness to obtain

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Standing, walking, bending, pushing, and lifting throughout the day
- Ability to lift infants into and out of cribs (Infant/Toddler rooms)
- Clear vision and hearing (with aids if needed)
- Ability to sit, kneel, and engage physically with children
