Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and developmental needs are met through engaging activities and proper supervision
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for infants and preschoolers
- Support afterschool children with homework assistance, recreational activities, and supervision to foster a positive learning environment
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, routines, and any concerns
- Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among children
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care tasks for infants and toddlers
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or babysitting roles is highly valued
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience with classroom management techniques to foster a respectful and engaging environment
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and child safety protocols (certification preferred)
- Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and families
- Previous experience caring for infants or toddlers through nannying or daycare roles enhances suitability for this position
