Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health guidelines
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies, including patient observations and progress notes
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being
- Support residents during outings or community activities, fostering social integration and community engagement
- Participate in ongoing training on specialized areas of patient care
Qualifications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and family members while respecting patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
- Compassionate attitude with patience for working with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License, must obtain class E certification
