Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of adult and children’s developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs using clinical documentation standards and diagnostic evaluation tools.
- Deliver in-home, community-based, interventions focused on behavior management, social skills development, and crisis intervention.
- Strengthen family dynamics, improve communication, and support caregivers in implementing behavior management strategies.
- Maintain accurate health records management in compliance with HIPAA regulations while documenting participant care activities thoroughly and timely.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage adult/children and families actively in treatment processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, and care managers to coordinate care plans effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state law for qualified professionals.
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and mental health conditions.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, writing person centered plans, and; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement, case management, conflict management, and working effectively with adults/children with disabilities and their families.
- Experience working in home-based behavioral settings or community environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity when working with diverse populations across different backgrounds.
