Rainard School is a K-8th private school for Gifted Students in the Energy Corridor, offering individualized learning opportunities and rigorous academics in a small classroom environment.
We are seeking a warm, organized, and highly communicative Admissions Director to serve as the welcoming face of Rainard School for prospective families. Finding the right school for a gifted child is often an emotional and challenging journey for parents. You will serve as their guide, providing empathy and clarity as you walk them through the Rainard Model.
This is a part-time/contract position with flexible hours that may fluctuate based on the admissions season. It is ideal for an education professional who is deeply passionate about private school education but is seeking the flexibility of a part-time position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the Admissions Lifecycle: Manage the entire enrollment process from initial inquiry and application review to final enrollment.
- Conduct Campus Tours: Host prospective parents and students on campus, highlighting our unique indoor/outdoor learning spaces, gardens, and interest-based classroom libraries.
- Evaluate Student Fit: Work closely with the Head of School and faculty to coordinate "shadow days" and assess prospective students' academic abilities, asynchronous development, and social-emotional needs.
- Family Communication: Act as a knowledgeable liaison and empathetic sounding board for parents. Answer questions about gifted education, our lack of assigned homework, and our multi-age classroom structure.
- Community Outreach & Marketing: Represent Rainard at local school fairs, build relationships with educational diagnosticians and psychologists, and assist with targeted enrollment strategies.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date applicant records and track enrollment metrics to report to the Head of School and Board of Directors.
- Front office assistance: Support the Principal with light administrative duties and other tasks.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or other related fields (preferred)
- Experience: Previous experience in private school admissions or educational administration.
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to listen empathetically to parents while communicating our school's capabilities and boundaries with candor and professionalism.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
