RAIN Bottling Company (RAIN) is the fastest growing plastic-free bottled water company. From our own spring and bottling facility we do one thing; aluminum-bottled spring water.
Position Overview
As the Quality Manager, you will ensure all RAIN products meet the company’s high standards while complying with food safety regulations. You will oversee operations related to food safety, quality control, sanitation, and compliance, initially at our Tiger, GA plant and later transitioning to lead quality operations at our Habersham County facility.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control
- Develop, implement, and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across production, packaging, and distribution.
- Monitor production using real-time quality systems to ensure consistency and identify deviations.
- Oversee product sampling and testing (water quality, taste, packaging integrity).
- Compile and analyze quality metrics, waste data, and efficiency reports to drive improvements.
- Conduct root-cause analyses and lead corrective & preventive actions (CAPAs).
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, FDA, EPA, and bottled water industry standards.
- Maintain documentation and records for audits and inspections.
- Lead audit preparation and coordination with external auditors and agencies.
- Stay informed on regulatory and industry best practices to keep RAIN ahead of standards.
Team Management & Training
- Supervise and mentor quality assurance staff (lab technicians, supervisors).
- Develop and deliver training programs on cGMPs, HACCP, and food safety protocols.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management of Plant Team and QA team members.
Supply Chain & Sanitation Oversight
- Oversee sanitation processes for all equipment and facilities, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless integration of quality practices into production.
Qualifications
- 5 years of quality assurance/food safety experience in food & beverage manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of SQF and HACCP standards (certifications preferred).
- Experience with FDA regulations for bottled water or beverage production.
- Proven ability to manage audits and regulatory inspections successfully.
- Excellent leadership, training, and communication skills.
- Data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
