Railserve is a leading provider of in-plant rail switching, transloading, and material handling services operating at over 75 locations in North America. We use our own locomotives and employees to safely move railcars within industrial, manufacturing and production plants. The Role:
As a Train Operator/Helper, youll work on the ground to assist with moving and organizing railcars. Youll help connect and disconnect cars, operate rail switches, and guide the locomotive using hand signals or a radio. This is a hands-on, outdoor job focused on keeping rail operations running safely and smoothly.
Pay Rate: $26.00-$35.00 per hour

What you'd be doing:
- Assist with moving and securing railcars
- Operate switches, gates, and hand brakes
- Connect and disconnect railcars
- Guide locomotive using radio or hand signals
- Watch for track hazards and follow safety rules
- Perform other duties to support safe rail operations

- Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- Military experience helpful
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must be extremely dependable and punctual in attendance; must have reliable transportation to work every day.
- Good communication skills; Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
- Ability to assess multiple tasks and develop a plan to complete them in a timely manner.
- Must have the ability to work well with others as part of a team.
Physical Demands
