Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, ensuring that our guests feel welcomed and well taken care of. This position requires a passion for food and hospitality, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, presenting menus and providing information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the OpenTable system or similar platforms.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns regarding their meals.
- Adhere to food handling safety standards at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills for cash handling and order accuracy.
- Familiarity with sales techniques, particularly upselling strategies, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices related to food service is essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
