Track Engineer

What You’ll Do

As a Track Engineer, you’ll be trusted to help plan, organize, and execute railroad track construction projects using independent decision-making with support when needed. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy while knowing when to ask questions and seek feedback. This position offers a dynamic mix of fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, and includes potential estimating opportunities, giving you a well-rounded experience and plenty of room for advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure RCC’s core values are maintained with safety always being the top priority
• Manage multiple small track construction projects, from pre-construction through to completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work independently
• Initiate RFIs, submittals and other project documentation
• Track costs and progress against budgets
• Prepare quantity take-offs and assist with project estimates
• Maintain clear communication and reporting both internally and externally
