Railroad Construction Company, Inc. is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead heavy civil and infrastructure projects across the New England region.


If you have a background in civil construction, transportation, or infrastructure projects and enjoy owning projects from pre-construction through closeout, this is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company with a strong pipeline of work and a collaborative, field-driven culture.


Responsibilities

  • Lead heavy civil construction projects from start to finish (roadway, bridge, rail, utilities, infrastructure)
  • Champion safety by enforcing policies, developing HASPs, and ensuring OSHA/client compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, cost controls, and financial performance
  • Oversee scheduling (CPM/P6), planning, and execution
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Support Superintendents with work plans, logistics, and production tracking
  • Manage procurement, subcontractor agreements, and change orders
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff


What We’re Looking For

  • 5–10 years of experience in construction project management (civil / heavy civil preferred)
  • Experience managing projects ranging from $100M
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil means & methods, production rates, and crew management
  • Experience with DOT or transportation agencies
  • Proficiency in project controls and scheduling software (P6 or equivalent)
  • Strong skills in Excel, Bluebeam, and construction management tools (HCSS a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Northeast

Salary : $150,000 - $225,000
