Responsibilities:
- Champion safety by enforcing policies, developing HASPs, and ensuring OSHA/client compliance.
- Drive quality by implementing project programs and maintaining high standards.
- Act as the go-to communicator with owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Lead project meetings and support Superintendents with work plans and schedules.
- Manage budgets, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
- Track project performance through cost controls, financials, and CPM schedules (P6 or equivalent).
- Mentor and develop engineering staff to strengthen project teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Environmental Engineering.
- 5–10 years of heavy civil project management experience with projects $1M–$100M.
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil means/methods, crew composition, and production rates.
- Familiarity with CTDOT, MASSDOT, MBTA, MASSPORT, and/or AMTRAK specs.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Bluebeam, HCSS, and scheduling software.
- Cost accounting experience preferred.
- Proven leadership with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel within the Northeast region as project needs require.
