Job Summary
Rail Stop Restaurant & Bar is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will help maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, ensure dishes and cooking equipment are properly washed, and assist kitchen staff in keeping the workspace organized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate dishwashing equipment according to established procedures.
- Keep dishwashing stations and surrounding kitchen areas clean and organized.
- Store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated locations.
- Remove trash and recycling according to workplace procedures.
- Assist with routine kitchen cleaning and sanitation tasks.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and notify a supervisor when restocking is needed.
- Help kitchen team members with general support duties as assigned.
- Work cooperatively with the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Qualifications
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow cleaning, sanitation, and safety procedures.
