What are the responsibilities and job description for the Railcar Auto Prepper position at Rail Management Services?
Starting Rate: To be discussed during the interview process.
Location: Wayne, MI.
Schedule: Primarily first shift, but flexibility is required for start and finish times, including weekends and holidays.
- Prepare railcars for loading new vehicles.
- Inspect and maintain chocks, doors, decks, grates.
- Clean rails using a backpack blower.
- Identify and repair defects on railcars.
- Work according to PRS Auto processes and AAR standards.
This role involves bending, squatting, leaning, and moving plates to connect railcars. It’s an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and advancement across our nationwide locations.

Requirements
- Live within 45 minutes of Wayne, MI (no relocation).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pass a 7-year background check and drug test.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs overhead and climb heights.
- No high school diploma or GED required.
