Now Hiring working at Norfolk Southern’s Rutherford Rail Terminal in Harrisburg, PA.
- Start at 20.50 per hour.
- Overtime pays 30.75 per hour.
- After one year: 22.44 per hour.
- Annual earning potential: 55,000 to 70,000 with overtime.
Your Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts with possible 4-hour holdover (up to 12 hours total).
- Current shift start times: 6 PM and 10 PM.
- Weekends and holidays required.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive jockey trucks to move trailers, containers, and chassis.
- Climb railcars, secure tracks, and handle connectors.
- Assist crane operators with hand signals.
- Stack and unstack chassis, load and unload racks.
- Work as part of a team to keep the yard running smoothly.

What You’ll Need:
- Must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license.
- Pass a 7-year background check.
- Pass drug test and physical capabilities test.
- No diploma or GED required.

- Must live within 45 minutes of Harrisburg, PA (no relocation).
