Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables or seating areas with enthusiasm.
• Take accurate drink orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring swift service.
• Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beverages, and light snacks in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Upsell menu items by recommending specialty drinks, promotions, or food pairings to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning bar areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately through POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and hosts/hostesses to ensure seamless service flow during busy hours in a fine dining or nightclub setting.
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation when necessary, supporting overall restaurant operations.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a related role such as host/hostess or bartender is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, cocktail recipes, and upselling techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced environments such as nightclubs or fine dining restaurants.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management software is a plus.
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a lively atmosphere.
