The primary task of the Ready-Mix Driver is driving a concrete mixer to and from plant/work sites. Other responsibilities include...
- Maintaining appropriate paperwork and logbooks
- Conducting and documenting pre-trips and post-trips
- Adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain appearance of truck by washing the exterior, inside of the drum and the cab.
- Required to always adhere to Company safety policy and rules and meet Rahns' Construction Material Company Driver Qualification Standards
- Overtime and some night/weekend work is required.
- Must pass DOT physical and primary drug screen.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively
- 2 years of related experience or training preferred
- Class A or B driver's license with current medical card
- No DUI's within the last 5 years
- Minimal moving violations
- Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain respectful relationships with other staff
- Interpreting written information such as safety rules, sales tickets, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to work a variable-hour schedule
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, carry, kneel, ascend and descend stairs and bend.
- Ability to walk on uneven and/or slippery surfaces.
