Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Cleaner to join our daytime cleaning team on Monday Wednesday Thursday and Friday mornings. This role involves performing efficient and thorough cleaning tasks over a short shift of 2-3 hours, ensuring the facility remains spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures
- Conduct sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards across all facility zones
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks, including moving furniture or cleaning equipment, adhering to safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a professional appearance
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials as needed
- Follow safety protocols consistently to ensure personal safety and that of colleagues during all cleaning activities
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including floor buffers), and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow chemical handling safety procedures
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled hours
