Job Description
Traffic Control Foreman for a project in Beaumont, Texas. Traffic control certifications required (provide copies with resume). Must have experience in managing a labor crew. Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees, and monitor safety concerns. Pay will be based on experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred. Individuals with additional experience in road and bridge construction preferred.
Work Hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Additional time may be required. Location of work is in Beaumont, TX area. Per Diem is not offered. Work will begin mid to late January 2018.
Regular Duties
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Prepare daily plans for the work.
- Schedule work one week in advance.
- Track and report quantities installed on a daily basis
- Gain the respect of others by being fair, honest, reliable, and hard working.
- Other unlisted duties will be assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish via verbal and written (English) communications.
- Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
- Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind.
