Senior CAD Technician

Job Description: RaganSmith, a Pape-Dawson company, is seeking a full-time Senior CAD Technician specializing in land surveying based in our Nashville office. This position will specialize in private sector work and is responsible for providing surveying office support and serving as a key member of the team on a wide range of projects. The Senior CAD Technician will also collaborate internally with field staff as well as other CAD technicians, civil engineers, and land surveyors to assist our clients in the development of surveys. Responsibilities Use AutoCAD Civil 3D software to prepare boundary and topographic surveys along with subdivision plats Edit surveys from other Survey Technicians and provide guidance Process, extract, and analyze field survey data Collaborate with project managers to create plans and survey base mapping. Serve as a mentor for other Surveying Technicians Performs quality assurance and standards checks on projects Potential for occasional field work including site inspections, research, and quality assurance Additional related duties as needed Minimum Qualifications 5-8 years of related AutoCAD drafting experience in a land surveying environment Knowledge and application of surveying concepts Ability to adhere to project timelines in a team environment Strength in multi-department coordination and organization Proficient written and verbal communication Completes assignments with limited direction Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent experience Experience using Trimble Business Center 2 years of field surveying experience Experience with DOT surveying or engineering design projects Benefits Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Long-term and short-term disability coverage Generous PTO and paid holidays 401(k) safe harbor contribution plus 10% employer matching Premium time paid out to eligible salaried employees when over 40 hours are worked in a week Annual salary review and bonus Tuition and gym reimbursements Parental leave Flexible work environment Focus on work-life balance RaganSmith was founded in 1933 as a land surveying company.
