What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Raft Guide position at Raft Masters?
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and navigate rafting trips on the Arkansas River, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests. I
- Provide engaging safety briefings, paddling instruction, and interpretive commentary during trips.
- Rig and de-rig rafts, including gear organization and post-trip cleanup.
- Model professional attitude and excellent customer service on every trip.
- Maintain rafting equipment and report issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with fellow guides and seasonal staff to support trip operations.
- Uphold all safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as a commercial whitewater rafting guide (prior seasons guiding Class II–IV preferred).
- Current First Aid & CPR certifications (in-person, not online).
- Up-to-date river logs, including training logs.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
Preferred / a Plus:
- Swiftwater rescue, Wilderness First Aid, or Wilderness First Responder certifications.
- Experience as a Trip Leader with advanced navigation responsibility.
- Previous guest service or outdoor guiding background beyond rafting.

Pay: $60.00 - $100.00 per day
