Part-Time Seasonal Photographer Assistant
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Position Type: Part-Time | Seasonal
Typical Hours: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Hours may be extended depending on the school's schedule.)
Travel Required: This position requires reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk, and surrounding counties.
About the Position
RaeLynn Photography Group is looking for an energetic, dependable, and child-loving Photographer Assistant to join our Picture Day team! This is a fun, fast-paced position working primarily in preschools and early learning centers, helping create an enjoyable experience for young children while assisting our photographer throughout the day.
Every day is different, and you'll have the opportunity to work with children ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old, helping capture memories that families will cherish for years.

Ability to lift and safely carry infants, toddlers, and children with special needs when necessary
Standing, bending, walking, and moving throughout the workday
Ability to work in both indoor and occasional outdoor settings
Job Responsibilities
As a Photographer Assistant, you will:
Assist the photographer with unloading, carrying, and setting up photography equipment.
Escort individual children and small groups safely to and from the photography area.
Safely carry infants, toddlers, and children with special needs when needed.
Ensure every child remains safe, supervised, and accounted for throughout Picture Day.
Prepare children for their portraits by:
Touching up hair
Wiping faces
Cleaning noses when appropriate
Straightening clothing
Adjusting bows, jewelry, and accessories
Comfort and encourage children who may be shy, nervous, or upset while the photographercaptures their portraits.
Help create a fun, cheerful, and welcoming environment that helps children smile naturally.
Keep photography paperwork organized and accurate throughout the day.
Track which children have been photographed and verify completion with school staff.
Communicate progress and scheduling updates with teachers and school administrators.
Assist with packing up equipment at the end of the session.
Requirements
Applicants must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Be willing to travel between multiple counties.
Pass a Level 2 Background Check.
Be dependable with excellent attendance.
Be comfortable working early mornings.
Be able to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Have strong communication skills.
