What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer position at Radyne Corporation?
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mechanical automation and project management.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Job Requirements:
BS in Engineering - emphasis on mechanical.
Proficiency in Solidworks or equivalent 3D modeling.
Knowledge of screws, threads, materials, strength of materials, correct fit, and a wide knowledge of various fabrication techniques.
Must have good technical writing and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of production techniques including Machining, Fabricating, Welding, Assembly a plus.
Robotics Experience a plus.
Experience with Adept PDM and AutoCAD a plus.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Designing mechanical material handling systems, tooling and components.
- Experience with: Machine bases, pneumatics, sensors, actuators, bearings, pumps, water-systems
- Proven ability to work with a team of Engineers and independently on various projects
- Knowledge of production techniques including Machining, Fabricating, Welding, Assembly, 3D printing
- Ability to generate and update technical drawings using standard design conventions, tolerance, and technical drawing standards as required.
- Collaborate with Radyne Engineering and Manufacturing personnel.
- Strong independent judgment required.
- Manage time to meet budget requirement.
- Detail and check part drawings and create/maintain BOM's.
- Assist in the assembly and troubleshooting of systems if needed.
- Work under the guidance of the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager.
