Rady Children’s Physician Management Services (RCPMS) offers exciting opportunities for qualified candidates to join our rapidly growing organization. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Rady Children’s Hospital and Health Center with just over 500 employees. RCPMS supports primary care pediatricians with 32 office locations throughout San Diego and Southern Riverside Counties.

RCPMS seeks a friendly, motivated, experienced individual for our open Medical Billing (also known as Account Analyst) position in our Riverside office. Under the supervision of the Patient Financial Services Supervisor, the Account Analyst performs all duties and responsibilities associated with the timely billing/re-billing, payment posting, account follow-up and final collection of assigned accounts. We currently have open positions on the following billing teams: Insurance Follow-Up, Specialty Team & Customer Service. This is a full-time position with full-time hours of Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is hybrid remote after successfully meeting quality standards at the 6 month review.

Account Analyst- Follow Up Position:

Responsibilities:

• Verify claim status and appeal to insurance companies when needed.
• Verify member eligibility through web portal or by contacting the insurance companies directly.
• Handle incoming patient and insurance calls.
• Process insurance claims and patient statements in a timely manner.

Account Analyst-Customer Service Position:

Responsibilities:

• Respond to patient inquiries, questions, and complaints for insurance related issues.
• Identify problems and resolves the addressed issue or concern in an efficient professional manner.
• Contact patients regarding past due bills written and/or phone correspondence.

Account Analyst- Specialty Refunds Team:

Responsibilities:

• Audit patient accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and process refunds.
• Resolve credit balances.
• Update patient demographics.

Requirements of all Account Analyst Positions:

• Medical Billing/Medical Office Administration new grads welcome!
• Medical Billing/CHDP knowledge.
• 2-5 years of medical billing office preferred.
• CPT and ICD 9 coding knowledge, training preferred.
• Must be proficient in math, 10 key by touch, spreadsheet formulas.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and communicate technical and financial information.

The reasonably expected starting hourly wage range for this position is $20.57-$22.50 depending on qualifications including education and relevant experience.
