Job Summary
The Installation Rigger supports the delivery and installation of large medical equipment in hospital environments. Reporting to the Lead Installer and Installation Project Manager, this role ensures all rigging and installation activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements, timelines, and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Review site readiness and rigging plans in pre-installation meetings
- Confirm rigging instructions and equipment lists with Lead Installer
- Communicate site-specific concerns or access limitations before mobilization of installation process
- Perform rigging, delivery, and equipment positioning under Lead Installer direction
- Ensure safe handling and alignment of equipment per installation drawings
- Provide timely status updates to the Lead Installer
- Assist with cleanup and removal of rigging materials following installation
- Verify equipment condition and report discrepancies
- Complete and submit rigging completion report and document any issues
- Maintain clear communication with Lead Installer
- Report safety concerns, delays, or unexpected challenges immediately
- Collaborate with field engineers, logistics teams, and customer representatives
- Follow OSHA and company safety protocols at all times
- Participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks
- Inspect and confirm certification of lifting equipment before use
Travel expectations at approximately 75%
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years hands-on field or comparable industrial experience
- Experience installing medical equipment highly preferred
- Valid drivers license with ability to obtain a Class-D endorsement
- Class-D endorsement preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills
- Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge required
- Dependable, self-motivated, eager, and driven individual
- Maintain a current DOT compliance with physical and random drug/alcohol screenings
- Ability to lift and/or move objects of 50lb consistently
- Regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
