Title: Field Service Engineer I

Department: Service

Reporting to: Regional Service Manager

Location: Travel - Charleston, WV area

Job Summary

As the primary face of Radon Services to customers, this individual is responsible for resolving advanced service repair needs of designated equipment and drives customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. This individual is a technical expert on at least one modality and may be proficient in multiple.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assistance on troubleshooting, repair, installation, validation, and maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Motivated and eager to learn new modalities.
  • Learn additional skills and accept feedback from experienced Field Engineers.
  • Communicate with customers, serve as an escalation point, and manage customer issues from dispatch to resolution.
  • Engage with team members to ensure awareness of issue status for designated customers.
  • Develop the knowledge to communicate HQ and Zone/Area-level initiatives.
  • Actively participate in regular team or modality meetings
  • Partner with customers to recommend value-added services for improved business efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 2 years of servicing electrical equipment OR equivalent military education and 2 years of experience servicing electrical equipment, OR High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of experience servicing electrical equipment
  • Experience interfacing with internal teams and external customers in a solution-based service process.
  • Knowledge in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns.
  • Experience with web applications and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must comply with Radon’s standard background check and post-offer drug screen.
  • Compliance with customer access policies, including required immunizations and additional background checks/drug screens, is mandatory

Conditions/Environment

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 35lbs. unassisted; frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, squat, kneel, crawl, sit, and stand for long periods. Must reach above/below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and have good hand/finger dexterity.
  • Valid driver’s license with a Class-D endorsement

  • While Radon Medical does not require COVID-19 vaccination, some customers may have vaccination mandates that apply to certain employees.
