Phlebotomist – 13 Week Contract | Night Shift
We are hiring a Phlebotomist for a 13-week contract opportunity. Candidates with strong phlebotomy skills and patient care experience are encouraged to apply.
Position Details:
Specialty: Phlebotomist
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 7 shifts on / 8 shifts off (Shifts scheduled between 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
EMR System: Meditech
Holiday Coverage: Required
Pay Range:
Local candidate: Up to $25/hourly
Traveller candidates: Up to $29/hourly
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Comprehensive phlebotomy skills.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
- BLS certification required (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
- Experience with venipuncture, heel sticks, finger sticks, drug screens, and specimen handling
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills requiredResponsibilities:
- Perform blood draws and specimen collection
- Verify patient information and lab orders
- Prepare and process lab/pathology specimens
- Follow lab protocols and safety standards
