General Position Summary & Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, and installation of electrical systems and equipment in Cascade Steel Rolling Mills (Mill), while providing technical guidance on assigned work and supporting code-compliant electrical installations.
Essential Functions
Supports the Company’s Internal Control process which includes understanding, communicating and complying with defined internal controls as well as suggesting and making modifications to the policies, procedures and controls to better relate to the business.
Communicates upward problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports, but provides technical guidance and work direction to Electricians and Electrical Apprentices and may exercise delegated authority related to code compliance, installation review, and signing responsibilities, as assigned.
Job Conditions
Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment within the Rolling Mill and Steel Plant. The worker will be subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including plant conditions in production areas. PPE is required and will be provided as necessary.
Physical Activities Required To Perform Essential Functions
This position requires the ability to frequently climb stairs and ladders, stand, and walk within a warehouse environment that may include uneven surfaces. It may occasionally require the ability to exert force or to push/pull up to 30 pounds, and/or to lift/carry up to 30 pounds. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and pushing, pulling, or lifting items occur occasionally, while reaching, grasping, sitting at a desk, and performing repetitive hand and wrist motions for keyboarding and other office tasks are continual requirements. Hearing is continually required to listen and understand conversations both in person and over the phone, and vision is continually needed to read and view computer monitors, data, and text.omputer monitor, data and figures and text.

- Supplement the activities of Electricians and Electrical Apprentices by providing day-to-day technical guidance and direction on assigned work.
- Support the Electrical Supervisor and Electrical Manager in coordinating electrical maintenance and installation activities in his role.
- Provide support in maintenance and repair work for electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and Oregon electrical code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to support safe and efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including maintenance logs and reports, as well as compliance and installation documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to support production and minimize downtime.
- Provide training and guidance to electrical staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of electrical projects and upgrades.
- Work with planner to monitor inventory levels of electrical supplies and help with order as needed.
- Be available after hours to be called in for troubleshooting or safety related reasons.
- Authorize and ensure all new services/equipment is done to Oregon electrical code.
- Log all new installations including any new circuits and submit to the county electrical inspection department.
- With support from Manager and Supervisor ensure that any changes to electrical code are followed and adjust working practices.
- Review and support modifications to electrical installations to maintain compliance and operational reliability.

- Oregon Journeyman license
- S-General Electrical Supervisor or Limited Supervising Electrician license preferred
