Looking for Hands-On Workers Who Like to Stay Active
Do you enjoy working outdoors, staying physically active, and being part of a hardworking team? Radius Recycling is hiring Grader/Sorters to help inspect, sort, and process recyclable metal materials at our Meridian facility.
This is a great opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in:
- Warehouse and distribution
- Construction labor
- Landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Manufacturing and production
- Farm and agricultural work
- Material handling and recycling operations
- General labor and outdoor work
No scrap metal experience? That's okay. We're willing to train dependable individuals who are safety-focused and ready to work.
What You'll Do
- Sort and grade incoming scrap metal and recyclable materials
- Identify and separate metals and debris for proper processing
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and stockpiling materials
- Support yard cleanup, sweeping, brush removal, and general maintenance
- Grease equipment and assist with basic maintenance activities
- Report equipment issues and safety concerns
- Work throughout the yard supporting operations as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to work safely in an industrial outdoor environment
- Comfortable working in heat, cold, rain, dust, and noise
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic communication skills in English
- Willingness to learn new tasks and equipment
- Valid driver's license required
- Previous scrap yard, warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or outdoor labor experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
This is a physical, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Walk frequently on uneven ground
- Bend, twist, crouch, push, pull, and climb
- Work around heavy equipment and moving materials
- Maintain attention to detail while sorting materials
