What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues on industrial equipment and facility systems
- Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, controls, and equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and needed repairs
- Test electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Support safe and efficient operation of shredders, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and other industrial equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and applicable electrical codes
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial, manufacturing, heavy equipment, or maintenance electrical experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain required electrical licensing and certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial maintenance experience in recycling, manufacturing, processing, sawmill, aggregate, mining, or similar environments
- Experience working with:
- Motors and motor controls
- 480V three-phase systems
- Control circuits
- Hydraulic equipment
- Conveyors and material handling systems
- Electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
Work Environment
This position works in an active industrial recycling facility and requires working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Employees are exposed to industrial equipment, noise, dust, and moving machinery while performing maintenance activities.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Climb stairs and industrial structures
- Walk on uneven surfaces
- Bend, crouch, stoop, and reach as needed
- Use hand and power tools regularly
- Ability to safely perform work in an industrial environment
Additional Information
Candidates must be able to work occasional overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on operational needs.
