Duties And Responsibilities
- In partnership with the Director of Development and Communications, develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that includes digital marketing, public relations, and content creation to increase fundraising and brand awareness.
- Develop and maintain a robust communications calendar.
- Manages the organization's digital presence, including the website, social media channels, and email marketing, to engage with our community and inspire action.
- Analyze communication effectiveness, leveraging data for improvement.
- Manage the CRM (Neon) to ensure accurate constituent data, reports, and email marketing.
- Collaborate with the Director of Development and Communications to craft compelling fundraising campaigns, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all platforms.
- Serve as the steward of the RADIUS brand, ensuring all communications reflect the organization’s values and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Capture photos and videos for compelling digital content.
- Draft copy for newsletters, acknowledgments, and stakeholder documents.
- Proofread and edit written content to ensure accuracy, including grants, acknowledgments, annual reports, press releases, staff communications, and more.
- Coordinate with vendors for design and print materials.
- Aids in fundraising activities, including events, in-kind gifts, donation platforms, and inventory management.
- Assist with volunteer coordination and donor cultivation efforts.
- Organizes and maintains donor files and records.
- Research fundraising opportunities.
- Assist with key stakeholder meetings, board meetings, tours, community events, and more.
- Represents the organization at community meetings.
- Assists with internal project requests related to development and communications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education. Candidates must have strong data management skills, ideally including CRM or donor database experience.
- Excellent copywriting skills with attention to detail and a strong grasp of grammar and style.
- Proficiency in CRM software (experience with Neon or similar platforms preferred)
- Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing software, and content management systems.
- Previous experience in a nonprofit organization or similar environment is preferred.
- Basic design skills and familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
- Ability to maintain brand consistency and adhere to organizational guidelines.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience in fundraising or development is preferred.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to the organization's mission and values.
- Valid Driver’s License preferred.
