Scribe - Entry Level

Position Summary

Operator will be responsible for applying customer furnished templates to aerospace details and scribing the lines using a surgical blade knife. Must be able to following specified sequence of operations, works from blueprints and planning instructions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
• Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
• Prepares aircraft hardware for chemical etching to assure conformance with company and customer specifications/requirements.
• Scribes hand layout parts with the use of curved tools, radius gauges, applying proper undercut, or using the offset knife.
• Following specified sequence of operations, works from blueprints and planning instructions.
• Follows and adheres to organizational and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
• Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
• Operator must be able to work in a hot or cold environment and be able to stand up to 10 hours a day.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Entry level to 2 years of related experience.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities including 
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
