Banquet Setup

Job Description

The Banquet Set Up position is responsible for the set-up, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting & event space and to assist the internal and external customers with their requests and needs for meetings and events.

Physical Requirements:

• Long hours sometimes required.
• Flexible schedule to suit the needs of the hotel
• Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand for long hours at a time.

Job Duties include:

• Communicate with manager throughout shift to be aware of the work.
• Clean and set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest. This includes cleaning, preparing, and sanitizing the area as well as a considerable physical activity in transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
• Break down all meeting rooms where meetings have concluded and return equipment to storage closet so the room will be available to be reset for the next function.
• Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms so the rooms stay presentable at all times.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
