What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant position at Radisson Duluth-Harborview?
The historic Radisson Duluth Hotel is now accepting applications for Laundry Attendants. Experience is a plus, but not a must, we will train the right candidate. The qualified candidate will have an outgoing personality, be a team player, and once trained in, work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work weekend, and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Pull laundry from laundry shoots, and sort accordance with all policies and procedures.
- Load articles into washer and add specified amount of detergent/soap, or other cleaning agent.
- Start machine that automatically washes and rinses articles.
- Lift clean, wet articles from washer and place them successively into dryers for measured time cycles.
- Sort dried articles according to identification numbers or type. Fold and place items in appropriate storage bin.
- Sort articles to verify items are washed on appropriate cycle.
- Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution in vat to precondition articles for washing.
- Ensure proper care of machinery and report any difficulties with equipment.
- Ensure laundry area is kept clean and free of clutter and safety hazards. Complete other duties as assigned.
