Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Survey Manager to oversee and manage the scheduling, communication, and coordination of survey crews(s) on a large-scale project with an estimated duration of ten (10) years. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land surveying (both field and office), excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage large scale projects and field crews efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily scheduling of field survey crews and office support staff.
- Serve as the primary liaison between project managers, clients, and field crews.
- Review work orders, proposals, and project requirements to ensure field readiness.
- Track project timelines and ensure timely delivery of survey services.
- Maintain detailed records of work progress, crew assignments, and equipment use.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the course of survey operations.
- Assist with drafting task orders and organizing project files.
- Position will require the candidate to work both onsite and offsite
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying.
- Strong knowledge of survey terminology, processes, and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Trimble Business Center.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, field staff, and internal teams.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
