Position Summary:
Radify Metals is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Laboratory Technician to support the operation of our proprietary plasma reactors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing reactor runs, handling samples, documenting experimental data, and assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure consistent and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate reactor systems according to established protocols and safety procedures, including:
- Preparing/loading/unloading samples
- Monitoring reactor performance during runs and documenting observations in real time
- Managing, organizing, and backing up experimental data files;
- Recording any deviations and observations in the data logs, and,
- Performing routine system checks, calibrations, and basic reactor maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing reactors as issues arise.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to improve process efficiency and reliability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
- Follow all safety guidelines, particularly those related to hydrogen gas and plasma systems
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Experience working in a laboratory or technical environment
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency, including file management, data entry, and use of standard software tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with plasma systems, vacuum systems, or semiconductor/advanced materials processing equipment
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems or laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Basic understanding of electrical, gas handling, or control systems
- Prior experience troubleshooting technical equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a laboratory setting
- Capability to lift and handle equipment or samples (within reasonable limits)
- Comfortable working with PPE and in environments involving pressurized gases and high-voltage equipment
Work Environment:
This role operates on-site in Campbell, CA in a laboratory setting involving hydrogen gas systems, vacuum equipment, and plasma reactors. Strict adherence to safety protocols is required at all times.
