Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for curating seasonal cocktail and wine lists, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of food and beverage service.
Duties
- Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Train, develop, and manage bar staff to deliver excellent service.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
- Implement effective cash handling procedures and ensure accurate POS transactions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Develop and manage budgets for bar operations while optimizing profitability.
- Conduct interviews and hire new staff as needed to maintain an efficient team.
- Create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or bar management within the food industry.
- Familiarity with various POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling practices.
- Experience in casual dining or fine dining establishments is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control effectively.
- Previous experience in supervising teams and providing training & development opportunities.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes within a hospitality setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest experiences.
