Line Operator / Material Handler

Job Summary:

The Chromia Line Operator is responsible for overseeing and operating designated machinery and equipment within the production line. The operator plays a crucial part in monitoring production processes, identifying and resolving operational issues, and supporting the overall efficiency of the manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements:

• Ensures the work is done in accordance with and adherence to any/all safety regulations.
• Works on shifts per the site requirements.
• Ensures the work is done with quality per the requirements.
• Operate and monitor machinery/equipment according to established procedures and safety standards.

Key Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations or quality standards.
• Monitor production, outputs, or performance metrics, and report irregularities.
• Record operational data and maintain accurate logs or documentation.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding issues or improvements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, technical diploma or equivalent; higher education if applicable.
• One year of experience in a relevant industry or field preferred.
• Experience in the consumer stone business is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong mechanical or technical aptitude.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues proactively.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control awareness.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to procedures.

Physical Demands/Special Work Environment Notes:

• Stamina to work for periods of time without tiring, including standing, walking and performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Reach with hands and arms, potentially overhead or below shoulder level.
• Bend or stoop to access items and equipment.
• Fine motor skills for handling tools, assembling parts, or operating machinery.
• Clear vision and good depth perception (may be aided by glasses or contacts).
• Understand and distinguish speech and other sounds, sometimes in a noisy environment.
• Pass respiratory FIT test requirements.

• No facial hair

Salary Range and Benefits Offered:

• $30 per hour
