What We Look For...
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive oversight of the restaurant operations during meal various periods primarily in the evenings. This role involves managing and training restaurant and bar staff, scheduling and inventory procedures. The restaurant manager assists and reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.
The Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
- Manage daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures to optimize service, efficiency, and productivity.
Training and Development:
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and mentor restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and support personnel.
- Assist in the design and implementation of training programs to enhance staff performance and guest satisfaction.
Bar and Lounge Management:
- Supervise the Bar and Lounge areas, including staffing, inventory control, and quality of service.
- Assist in the development of beverage menus, ensuring they align with current trends and guest preferences.
Customer Service:
- Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, setting the standard for staff interactions with guests.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner, seeking solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
Financial Management:
- Labor/scheduling controls
- P&L operational controls
- Cost control inventory
Qualifications:
- Must have 2 years of hotel restaurant experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, as well as industry best practices.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software.
