Position: Senior Packaging Engineer - Hybrid

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Location: Tempe AZ 85283

Pay Rate: $50.00-$67.00/ Hr on W2

Description:

Location: Hybrid – at least three days onsite in Tempe, AZ

Must Have

• Regulated industry packaging design experience
• Regulated industry packaging design verification/validation experience
• Packaging test failure root cause analysis (RCA) experience

Nice to Have

• Supplier management – 2 years
• Project leadership – 2 years
• Equipment qualification – 2 years

Description

• Develops and designs packaging equipment and materials for the safe, convenient, and attractive transport of goods under a variety of conditions.
• Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required type of packaging materials and to maximize convenience, utility, and function based on the product's physical characteristics, safety, and special-handling requirements.
• Evaluates packaging and transportation methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Evaluates and recommends efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and utilization of sealing and fastening devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field and 2 years of packaging industry experience
• OR
• Associate’s degree in Packaging or a related field and 4 years of packaging industry experience

Preferred Experience

• Packaging testing per ISO 11607
• Experience in regulated packaging environments such as healthcare, cosmetics, food, or similar industries.
