Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in a home setting. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals .
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Support patients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, or developmental disabilities through specialized care techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient progress, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers; assist with heavy lifting as required
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
- Perform light cleaning duties to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice environments preferred
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, vital signs measurement, and medication administration
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings
- Excellent patient observation skills coupled with compassionate communication abilities
- Basic cooking skills for meal preparation aligned with dietary restrictions or special needs
- Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude in diverse environments
