We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to oversee daily clinical operations within our long-term care/skilled nursing unit. The Unit Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) on assigned unit
Ensure delivery of quality resident care in accordance with care plans and facility policies
Monitor and maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
Conduct rounds to assess resident conditions and address concerns
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance of nursing personnel
Participate in care plan meetings and family communications
Oversee documentation accuracy and timely completion
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
Respond to clinical issues, incidents, and emergencies as needed
Qualifications:
Active RN or LPN license (state-specific)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
Knowledge of regulatory standards (CMS, state guidelines)
Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team
