Part-Time Driver

- Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 Hourly Salary Range
The Part Time Driver position at Radiant plays a key role in supporting operations by safely transporting goods, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery. This position involves a variety of transportation-related responsibilities and requires adaptability to meet business and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operation company-owned and leased trucks for shipping, receiving, pickup, and delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service during all delivery and pick-up interactions.
- Plan routes to ensure efficient and economical use of time and equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is properly secured and protected.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; promptly report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Accurately complete required paperwork and documentation.
- Communicate delays, accidents, or other transportation issues as they arise.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment in clean and serviceable condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall station operations.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant driving or delivery experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in operating trucks, vehicles, and related equipment.
- Ability to monitor vehicle gauges and systems to ensure proper operation.
- Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Regular shifts of 4-6 hours per day with required breaks.
- Consistent punctuality and reliability expected.
- Must ensure coverage of responsibilities when absent.
- Moderate noise levels in office and warehouse settings.
- Work performed both indoors (climate-controlled office/warehouse/vehicle) and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
- Regularly required to walk, sit, reach, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to stand, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Able to read and interpret maps, schedules, instructions, and correspondence.
- Capable of writing routine reports and communicating clearly with team members, customers, and partners.
