Salary Range: $80,000 to 90,000/Year
Position Overview
The Site Safety Manager is responsible for promoting a safe work environment for all employees and contractors on construction and industrial service projects. This role supports successful project execution by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
- Partner with project managers and supervisors to incorporate safety requirements into project planning and field activities.
- Deliver safety training and orientations, ensuring proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events; prepare detailed reports and corrective action recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, incidents, and safety communications.
- Perform job hazard analyses and address site-specific safety risks.
- Evaluate existing safety programs and implement improvements as needed.
- Stay current with industry best practices and changes in safety regulations.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies, clients, and stakeholders to support compliance and maintain strong working relationships.
Education & Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for secured or military facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strongly Preferred: Quality Control Manager Certification.
- CSP, OHST, or other recognized safety certifications preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in safety program management and quality control.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations.
- Experience with safety management systems and related software.
- Solid understanding of construction and industrial safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead training sessions and safety meetings effectively.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- High attention to detail and consistency in enforcing safety protocols.
