Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented optometric assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist our optometrists with pre-exam testing procedures.
Duties
- Perform pre-exam tests including visual acuity, tonometry, autorefraction, and retinal imaging
- Educate patients on contact lens care and assist with insertion/removal training
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Assist our optometrists as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in optometry or healthcare a plus
- Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of service
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning our EHR software
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys one-on-one customer interactions in a face-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
