Description
Under direct supervision, responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions. Performs inspection of various operations activities.
- Identifies and reports non- conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods.
- May perform final adjustments. Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems, completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
- May be responsible for conducting the magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts and initiating and processing non-conformance reports.
- Assures that all products and processes represent the desired quality, safety, efficiency and reliability levels. Completion of a high school diploma or GED and a minimum 1 years of experience is required.
- 3-5 years' experience which includes Quality and/or Industry experience is preferred.
- First week is five 8-hour days (M-F) from 8 - 4.
- Second week is four 10-hour nights (M-Th) from 8 - 6.
- Third week is two 8-hour nights (M-Tu) from 8 - 4 and two 12-hour nights (W-Th) from 6 - 6.
- Fourth week is two 8-hour days (M-Tu) from 8 - 4 and two 12-hour days (W-Th) from 6-6.
- 7 Days from 6- 6.
- 7 days off.
- 7 nights from 6-6.
- 3 days off.
- 4 short nights from 8-6.
- 7 days off. Repeat from 1.
- Multi-tasking.
- Basic MS functions (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Basic chemistry.
- Effective communication.
- Open to constructive criticism.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Bachelor of Chemistry preferred but not required
- Knowledge that this is an entry-level position
